Private owned and controlled by the government.

2. What economic activities play an important role in East Asia?

Agriculture, industry, and trade and communication.

Creative Writing: Despite China’s record of human rights violations, the United States granted it full trading privileges and the country has also been admitted to the World Trade Organization. Pick a position either for or against these decisions and write a paragraph designed to persuade others of your point of view.

Well how could you pick a side. Either side you choose there is always going to be a down side. Go against China and crush our economy. Stay with them and your just letting them do whatever they want.

1. How have industrialization and urbanization in East Asia affected the environment?

East Asia uses so much fossil fuels that there is so much pollution in the air around that area. Yet farmers have found a way to use all the possible land to farm with in the area.

2. What naturally occurring destructive forces does East Asia regularly face?

Flooding and volcanoes are natural destructive forces.

Creative Writing: Write a paragraph that describes the steps East Asian countries are taking to solve environmental problems.

There not really doing anything..... Other than building dams that will even produce more environmental problems in China. Japan is leading the clean up, even though they use large amounts of electricity for their cities. Korea's and Taiwan are just making more and more power plants to make their energy needs.
